Maria completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. Prior to this, she attended the University of Toronto where she received an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Psychology. During this time, she volunteered at various hospitals and worked as a caregiver.

She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She places a strong emphasis on life-long learning and is currently pursuing her manual therapy levels. Maria is also certified in CPR and First Aid.

Maria’s therapeutic approach employs her educational and clinical experiences to determine the cause of injury and she uses education, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and functional training to treat the underlying issues. A client-centred approach is emphasized through personalized programs that help achieve optimal outcomes.

In her free time, Maria enjoys staying active by lifting weights, hiking, running, swimming, and biking. The most rewarding part of her job is helping clients get back to participating in activities they love and reducing their risk of future injuries.
