Melyssa Zigmond completed her Masters of Physical Therapy at Western University and her undergraduate Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. She is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Melyssa is passionate about treating in the orthopedic setting, and endeavours to pursue continuing education studies in Pelvic Health and Vestibular physiotherapy, while adding acupuncture and dry needling into her manual orthopedic skills.
Melyssa’s therapy encompasses a multi-system philosophy with an integrated treatment approach including manual therapy, functional exercise, and education. She believes in education on the condition and injury prevention to empower her clients to take an active role in their recovery and optimize their long-term independent function. She emphasizes client-centred practice by creating treatment plans around clients personal goals.
During her leisure time, Melyssa is interested in hiking, photography and staying physically active.
