Biography
Ashish Vora is an experienced physiotherapist practicing in Mississauga.
Ashish has been a licensed and practicing physiotherapist in Toronto for over 25 years. After gaining experience in a hospital, nursing home and a private out-patient orthopaedic clinic, he found that he was more passionate about outpatient orthopaedics and has been practicing in a private orthopaedic clinic ever since.
Ashish has completed the Advanced Health Care Practice Program (MClSc) at the University of Western Ontario and has graduated with a Clinical Master’s Degree. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT). He is also a Certified Gunn IMS practitioner. Additionally he has done courses in the Mulligan Concept, McKenzie Method and continues to enrich his practice by learning new skills. Additionally, Ashish has a keen interest in Cancer Rehabilitation and continues to help patients with cancer improve their quality of life during and post cancer treatment.
Ashish is a certified Running Assessment professional and can help novice runners, experienced runners and injured runners get back to running optimally.
Ashish’s practice philosophy is based on the biopsychosocial model and education which he incorporates in his treatments in addition to manual therapy, exercise, acupuncture and more.
Ashish is a huge advocate of education and is actively involved in teaching and mentoring junior clinicians. He is also a Clinical Instructor for PT students at the University of Toronto. Additionally, Ashish mentors physiotherapists who are challenging the Advanced Manual Therapy examinations through The Orthopaedic Division.
In his spare time, Ashish likes to spend time with his family and travel. He is also a runner and aims to run 30km a week.
